There’s so much incredible indie rock around at the moment that I feel compelled to write about, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t incredible stuff released in every genre. This playlist is trying to capture some incredible releases in dance music. To make the playlist, each track had to do two things, be funky,Continue reading “STREAM TO THE RIVER #14 : FUNK AND FIERCE”
Stream to the River is back. After last year’s instrumentals only playlist, I thought I’d take another swing this year. As you can hear, I almost made it, but it would take a heart of stone to argue with Sō Percussion’s take on ABBA and then all bets were off. Like and share if youContinue reading “STREAM TO THE RIVER #13 : ALMOST ONLY INSTRUMENTALS”
Stream to the River, the regular playlist feature on We Could See To The River, is back for the new year. No theme this month, just a quick survey of some of the fun stuff that’s out there. What are you looking forward to musically in 2022?
As regular visitors to We Could See To The River will know, this is a site that champions brand new music. It’s a bumper playlist this month to reflect the listening that I’ve been doing for FOLKTEMBER. I’ve been learning that although the British and Irish Folk scene is pretty much as it always is, full of very talented musicians producing the goods with incredible technique, there’s still potential for exploration and experimentation. I’ve tried toContinue reading “STREAM TO THE RIVER #9: FOLKTEMBER”
This is the latest playlist in the Stream to the River series. If I tried it out over summer and liked it, it made the list. It’s mostly jazzy and selected from suggestions from the algorithm, but it still had to have the human touch.
The lastest stream to the river playlist is a full festival experience condensed into 51 minutes. Woozy afternoons, big headliners, heavy beats and sunrise epiphanies, all there in less than an hour. Bring your own cider and takeout van.
‘I know I’m not really your favourite person, but you’re mine.’ Taking that lyric as the starting point, this playlist for is based around the best songs from Spring 2021 that deal in many different types of heartbreak.
The new Stream to the River playlist is instrumentals only, reflecting the range and power of instrumental music released in the last 3 months. Hope you enjoy.
